Microbiologist

Run microbiological testing and monitoring so products and the plant environment stay within limits.

What you will do

• Test raw materials, water, in-process samples and finished products for microbial quality.
• Carry out environmental and personnel hygiene monitoring.
• Prepare media, maintain cultures and run preservative efficacy tests as required.
• Record and trend results and report excursions.
• Maintain the microbiology laboratory to a clean, organised standard.
• Support investigations and audits.

What we look for

• M.Sc. or B.Sc. in microbiology or a related subject.
• Laboratory experience in cosmetics, pharma or food is preferred.
• Knowledge of aseptic techniques and standard test methods.
• Careful with data and documentation.
